✨ Hexagon Crochet Cardigan ✨

I bought these absolutely adorable cakes from Walmart: Lion Brand Mandala Baby Yarn cakes in the color Echo Caves 🖤

The material is Acrylic but it is super soft and light weight!

This yarn was so fun to use and the pattern was really fun to make. I really wanted to try making myself more sweaters, I’ve tried twice to make myself a sweater and this is the first once I’ve officially finished :)

I’m super proud of my crochet journey and cannot wait to find my next project ✨

Maybe a matching Mommy, baby sweater? 👀

... Read moreWhen I first started crocheting sweaters, I often found myself overwhelmed by bulky yarns and complicated patterns that made the process more frustrating than fun. Using Lion Brand Mandala Baby Yarn for this hexagon crochet cardigan completely changed my perspective. The yarn is 100% acrylic, but incredibly soft and lightweight, which made working on this project enjoyable and stress-free. It drapes nicely and feels comfortable to wear, which is something I didn’t always get from heavier materials. One thing I really appreciated about this yarn was its vibrant colorway, Echo Caves, which gave the cardigan a subtle yet stylish look without being too loud. The self-striping effect of Mandala Baby Yarn adds an interesting visual texture to the hexagon motifs, making the finished cardigan feel unique and personalized. For those new to crochet cardigans, the hexagon pattern is a great way to build skills while still creating a wearable garment. I’ve tried multiple times to finish sweaters before but this was the first successful one on my journey. The modular hexagon motifs are fun to complete one at a time, which keeps motivation high. Plus, assembling the pieces allows you to customize the sweater’s size and fit. If you’re thinking about your next project, consider exploring matching sets like a mommy-and-baby sweater duo. Using the same yarn and pattern can create adorable coordinated outfits. Overall, this experience has inspired me to keep expanding my crochet skills and try new yarns and patterns. The right yarn truly makes a difference in crafting enjoyable and wearable projects.
