Writing Day!
I plan to write around 300 words a day for my first draft of my romance novel! I hope to have this draft completed by August 31st and then do another rewrite and search for beta readers. :)
I use Reedsy! It is amazing for planning, organizing, setting goals, and writing your first draft!
My dream is to be a published author whether traditional or self-published and put my degree to use as well as continue writing poetry and submitting to literary journals.

Writing a romance novel can be both an exciting and daunting task for aspiring authors. Setting clear goals, such as writing approximately 300 words a day, is a great way to maintain momentum and ensure progress toward your goal of completing the first draft by August 31st. Using tools like Reedsy not only aids in planning and organizing your content but also provides a platform for setting writing goals and tracking word count, which is essential for keeping you accountable. Moreover, finding beta readers for your manuscript can dramatically improve your writing. They can provide invaluable feedback and help identify any areas that need revisions. Remember, even the most seasoned authors go through multiple drafts before landing on a final version, so don't be discouraged by the rewriting process. Whether you choose to pursue traditional publishing or consider self-publishing, it's important to keep honing your craft, submitting poetry to literary journals, and engaging with other writing communities. In addition, following writing tips from experienced authors can give you practical insight into navigating obstacles you may encounter along your writing journey. Taking part in forums, joining writing groups, and participating in writing challenges can foster a supportive environment that both motivates and inspires creativity. Embrace the journey and remember every great novel started with a single word!
