みょうがの冬越しで大切なのは、根っこの健康を守ることです。私も去年、冬の間に葉が黄色くなり、さっさ と枯れてしまった経験がありますが、それは主に凍結や過湿が原因でした。そこで取った対策は以下の３点です。 1. 枯れた葉は早めに地面ギリギリでカットして、病気の元を防止。 2. 腐葉土や藁を株の周りに厚めに敷き、保温効果を高めて霜や冷気対策。 3. 冬の間も白粒のゆっくり効く肥料を少量与え、根の活力をキープ。 特に切り取った葉や茎はそのまま土の上に再利用して、自然なマルチとしての役割も果たせました。水やりは控えめにして、かきがら石灰水を薄めてあげることで根腐れを防ぎつつ適度な水分を維持。これで春には元気な新芽が次々と顔を出し、収穫量も昨年より大幅にアップしました。 みょうがの冬越しは繊細ですが、適切な乾燥管理と保温、そして肥料の与え方を見直せば誰でも成功可能です。特に鉢植えやプランター栽培の場合は、寒さから根を守ることが重要なので、余裕があれば室内または寒風の当たらない場所に移動させるのもおすすめです。 今年のみょうがの収穫を諦めた方も、来年はぜひこの方法を試して元気なみょうがを育ててみてください。家庭菜園初心者の方でも分かりやすいポイントを押さえているので、安心して冬越しにチャレンジできますよ！
