Regresando al 2020 (Returning to 2020) definitely brings back a flood of memories for me. That year was truly unlike any other, throwing us all into a whirlwind of new routines, challenges, and unexpected discoveries right from our homes. For me, 2020 was a period of immense reflection and adaptation. I remember the initial shock, the quiet streets, and the sudden shift to spending almost all my time indoors. It pushed me to find new ways to connect, learn, and simply pass the time. That's when platforms like TikTok really exploded into my life, becoming a huge source of entertainment, comfort, and even creativity. I’d spend hours watching dance challenges, cooking hacks, and funny skits, often trying them out myself! Remember the 'Renegade' or the 'Savage' dance? Those were everywhere! It was a bizarre but beautiful way to feel connected to people all over the world, even when we were physically apart, sharing these little moments of joy. I picked up a few new hobbies during that time too. Remember the sourdough bread craze? I definitely tried my hand at that, with mixed results! And I started journaling regularly, which became a fantastic outlet for processing all the new emotions and changes. I also found myself exploring new genres of music and diving deep into online courses I'd always put off. Looking back, those quiet moments allowed me to slow down and appreciate the smaller things in life, something I often forget in the hustle and bustle of today's world. It was a time when many of us re-evaluated priorities and found comfort in simpler pleasures. One of the most vivid memories from that year is seeing how everyone found their own unique ways to cope. The online community truly thrived, with people sharing everything from home workout routines to new recipes. It showed me the incredible resilience and creativity of people when faced with uncertainty. I even started sharing little snippets of my day, trying to bring a bit of positivity to my small corner of the internet, often with a silly filter or a popular sound. There was a real sense of 'we're all in this together' that permeated the digital space. So, when I say 'throwback to 2020,' it’s not just about nostalgia; it’s about acknowledging a pivotal year that shaped so many of us. It taught me the importance of adaptability, the power of community (even a virtual one), and the value of finding joy in everyday moments. While I'm grateful for how far we've come since then, I'll always look back at 2020 as a time of unexpected growth, profound challenges, and surprisingly deep connections. What about you? What memories, big or small, does 2020 bring back for you?
