Rating new snacks 🤤

These may not all be new, but they’re new to me!

Skinny pop: Loved it! Not a lot of avocado taste but the lime was strong. This will be a great, light summer snack! Definitely buying again.

Quest: Did not taste like Mexican street corn at all. No sweetness whatsoever. Just very spicy/chili flavor. Will not be getting again.

Skinny Dipped: Amazing. So so good with better macros than Almond Joy. Will definitely buy again!

Chomps: This flavor was so so good! However, I can see myself getting tired of the flavor quickly. Would probably buy again.

Joyride candy: Really liked all of these! Are they as good as “normal” candy? Of course not. But for a substitute with better macros, I’ll definitely be buying again! Flavor is good, texture is just slightly tough.

I recently sampled a variety of snacks similar to those reviewed here, and I found that snacks combining great flavor with good macros make a real difference. For instance, Skinny Pop’s Avocado Lime popcorn offers a refreshing twist with its bold lime zest, making it a light, perfect summer treat. Although the avocado flavor is subtle, the overall profile is satisfying without being overwhelming. It’s great for those who want something crisp with a hint of zest without too many calories. I was also intrigued by the Quest tortilla style protein chips. Unlike traditional chips, these snacks emphasize protein intake, which is fantastic for anyone monitoring their macros. However, the Mexican Street Corn flavor leans very spicy with a strong chili taste but lacks the sweetness typically found in the traditional dish. If you prefer balanced sweet and spicy notes, this might not hit the mark, but it can still be a unique savory snack option. On the sweeter side, Skinny Dipped’s dark chocolate coconut almond bites are exceptional. They satisfy sweet cravings while keeping the nutritional profile better than standard candy bars like Almond Joy. The blend of coconut and dark chocolate offers richness without excessive sugar, making it a smart treat choice for those who want indulgence with better control over macros. Chomps chili lime beef sticks offer a meaty snack option packed with protein. The chili lime flavor is tasty but could become repetitive if eaten frequently. These sticks work well as a quick savory bite on the go and pair nicely with veggies or nuts for a balanced mini-meal. Finally, Joyride candy presents a softer, chewier alternative to regular candy with reduced sugar and improved macros. While the texture may be slightly tougher and the flavor milder compared to conventional sweets, it’s a valuable option for those cutting back on sugar but still wanting to enjoy flavorful treats. Overall, when choosing new snacks, it’s helpful to consider not just taste but also nutritional content and how the flavors might fit your palate long-term. Sampling a variety like this provides insight into what suits your snack cravings and dietary goals best. A personal tip: pairing protein-rich snacks with fresh fruit or nuts can create satisfying mini-meals with balanced nutrition and flavor variety. Happy snacking!
