It's truly a fantastic spot for creating lasting family memories, whether you're feeding a goat or bravely interacting with a snake. Our absolute favorite part was, of course, the petting zoo area! My little one was absolutely thrilled to feed the adorable goats through the fence – it’s such a classic petting zoo moment, and seeing their faces light up is priceless. The OCR images really capture that joy! Beyond the goats, they also have sheep, pigs, and other farm animals that you can get up close with. It's a fantastic way for children to learn about animals in a safe, interactive environment. And for the braver souls, they often have supervised animal encounters. We saw a child reaching out to touch a snake held by a friendly 'Parks Volunteer' – it looked really well-managed and educational. It’s not every day your kids get to interact with animals like that under expert guidance! The volunteers are super knowledgeable and make the experience even better. From my experience, the Irvine Zoo offers a perfect blend of education and fun. Don't forget to wear comfortable shoes, bring water, and maybe a hat, especially on sunny days.
