Today's wire wrapped necklace
Each bead is wire wrapped together in a chain link necklace. The zen circle pendant and necklace hook is also handmade with wire. This necklace took a while to make but has become one of my favorites.
Creating a wire wrapped necklace by hand is a truly rewarding experience that combines patience, skill, and creativity. From my own practice, each bead is meticulously wrapped to not only secure it but also to contribute to an attractive chain link pattern that’s both sturdy and elegant. The zen circle pendant adds a calming, symbolic aesthetic to the piece, offering a focal point that represents unity and mindfulness. The necklace hook, also crafted from wire, ensures that every element of the design is cohesive and hand-finished, giving the jewelry a personal touch that mass-produced pieces lack. While this process can be time-consuming, the satisfaction of wearing or gifting a piece made with such attention to detail is unparalleled. For those interested in starting wire wrapped jewelry, I recommend beginning with simpler designs and gradually introducing more complex components like circular pendants and handmade clasps. Choosing quality materials such as sterling silver or copper wire enhances both the durability and beauty of your creations. Overall, this handmade approach not only results in a unique necklace but also connects the maker to a mindful, creative practice that nurtures both skill and well-being.
