Stop being more afraid of what people have to say

Fear.. man its an ugly thing. It keeps us bound up. It keeps us from speaking the word of God. It keeps us from approaching people and telling them about Jesus. It does so many things. Its a device and control that the enemy loves to use and keep us bound by. Just like Peter he denied Jesus 3 times because of fear. We fear what people will think of us or what they will say. We cannot let fear win! We must overcome it by the power of God. Even when fear shows its face we must rebuke it and keep going! We must fear GOD more than we fear PEOPLE or anything else in this world! We must fear what God says and thinks about us not what others do.

Many people struggle with the fear of judgment, rejection, or criticism from others, which can halt their spiritual growth and personal progress. The truth is, this fear can enslave us, preventing us from embracing the calling God has placed on our lives. In the Bible, Peter’s denial of Jesus three times was fueled by fear of what others might say or do. His story reminds us that even the strongest believers face moments of fear, but the key is not to let it control our actions. Instead, we are encouraged to fear God more than human opinions or worldly pressures. "Stop being more afraid of what people have to say and think rather than what GOD says and thinks about you!" is a powerful reminder that God’s perspective carries eternal weight. Overcoming fear requires conscious effort and spiritual strength. When fear arises, rebuking it through prayer and affirming God’s promises can help restore confidence and peace. Trusting God means accepting that His opinion is what ultimately defines our worth and identity. This shift in mindset can empower you to speak boldly, live authentically, and witness courageously. Many believers find that surrounding themselves with supportive faith communities and regularly meditating on scripture helps lessen the power of fear. It’s also helpful to remember that every person you share your faith with is an opportunity for God to work, regardless of their response. By focusing on God’s love, grace, and acceptance rather than the fluctuating opinions of people, you can break free from the chains of fear. This allows you to fully embrace your purpose, inspire others, and experience the abundant life God intends for you.
