This book pulled me in almost immediately. Six dangerous individuals, one impossible mission, and absolutely zero trust between them… what could possibly go wrong?
The story follows a group of assassins, thieves, and outcasts who are brought together for one goal: kill the king. Of course, nothing is ever that simple. Everyone has secrets, their own motives, and more than a few reasons to betray the others.
I loved the multiple POVs because it let us see each character’s personality and hidden agenda. Some characters I trusted… others had me side-eyeing every move they made. The tension between the group kept the story interesting the whole time.
The worldbuilding felt rich without being overwhelming, and the pacing kept things moving. Every chapter seemed to reveal another twist or layer to the mission.
If you like fantasy heists, morally gray characters, and stories where alliances can shift at any moment, this one is definitely worth picking up.
Now I’m sitting here wondering who’s really playing who… and who will survive when all the blades finally fall.
