Is the Apple Watch dupe worth it?

... Read moreOkay, so you've seen the unboxing, and you're probably wondering, beyond just this specific dupe, what should you really look for when diving into the world of Apple Watch alternatives? It's a jungle out there on TikTok Shop and other online stores, and not all dupes are created equal. I’ve definitely learned a thing or two from my own experiences and from seeing what others say! First off, let's talk about why we even consider an Apple Watch dupe. For most of us, it boils down to cost. The genuine Apple Watch can be a significant investment, and a dupe offers a chance to get a similar look and some basic smartwatch functionalities without breaking the bank. It's perfect if you're just curious about smartwatches or want a stylish accessory without committing to the full price tag. When I’m eyeing an an Apple Watch dupe, here are some key features I always check for, and honestly, what really determines if it’s any good: Battery Life: This is a huge one. A good dupe should ideally last at least a few days on a single charge. Nothing is more frustrating than a smartwatch that dies halfway through your day. My current dupe (the one I just unboxed!) surprisingly holds up pretty well, but some cheap ones can be terrible. Notifications: Can it reliably push notifications from your phone? Texts, calls, social media alerts – this is often a core reason people want a smartwatch. Make sure the connectivity is stable. Fitness Tracking: If you're hoping to track steps, heart rate, or sleep, check reviews for accuracy. While no dupe will match the medical-grade precision of an actual Apple Watch, a decent one can give you a good general idea. I use mine mainly for step counting, and it seems fairly consistent with my phone. Build Quality & Comfort: Does it feel cheap, or is it reasonably well-made? Is the strap comfortable for all-day wear? I was pleasantly surprised by the feel of this one, but I've had others that felt flimsy. Display Quality: Is the screen bright enough, and are the colors decent? Can you actually read messages clearly? Now, let’s be realistic about limitations. No Apple Watch dupe is going to replace the full Apple ecosystem experience. You won't get seamless integration with your iPhone apps, advanced health features like ECG or blood oxygen tracking (even if they claim to have them, the accuracy is questionable), or the vast app store. Don't expect to install third-party apps directly on the dupe. Most dupes connect via a proprietary app on your phone, which can sometimes be a bit clunky. My advice? Go into it with realistic expectations. If you're looking for a budget-friendly way to get basic notifications, track general activity, and rock a cool-looking watch, then a good dupe might just be for you. Read those user reviews carefully, especially on platforms like TikTok Shop or Amazon, and pay attention to comments about battery life and connectivity. Sometimes, spending a tiny bit more on a slightly higher-end dupe can make a world of difference in your daily experience. It's all about finding that sweet spot between cost and functionality that makes you happy!

It does look a lot like an Apple Watch but hopefully it still works good enough but for me personally I prefer the actual Apple Watch expect I had lost mine in the move sadly
