The brink of crossing over changed me!
Two years ago, alone in a hospital room I had a choice to give up or plead for God’s mercy to let me live. It was a relief to know what my diagnosis was, at the same time I was terrified knowing the end could be near. The treatment I needed was too risky and I might not recover from It. I had too much to live for and I wasn’t done being a mom!
A dear friend sent me a song that helped her through tough times. “You’re Gonna Be Ok” by
Jenn Johnson played on repeat for over a week in my hospital room. The message was EXACTLY what I needed to hear to keep going!
I wake up grateful everyday for a second chance. My perspective and priorities have changed, I pray I never take for granted what can be gone in the blink of an eye!
This is only a small part of my journey. God has held me up and brought me through so much in the last 20 years, even when I was angry and purposely turned away from Him. I will tell my story in hopes of encouraging others to never give up, keep moving forward and have the courage to heal.
