Early Mornings are rough!!!

My daughter wakes up everyday between 3 and 4am no matter what time she goes to bed. I thought I’d be used to it by now but, NOPE! However the day still must go on! #autism #earlymornings #momlife

From personal experience, establishing a structured yet flexible morning routine can make a huge difference. Starting the day with light and healthy breakfast options not only fuels energy but helps set a calm tone for the hours ahead. Activities like mellow playtime with favorite toys or themed activity mats—such as those featuring animals like African elephants and red kangaroos—can engage little ones gently without overstimulating them. Incorporating time for screen relaxation on the couch can also provide moments of calm before the day’s busier phases. Preparing for therapy sessions, like ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) around midday, requires planning simple lunches with little bites that are easy to manage and nutritious. Nap time is crucial afterward to help recharge both the child and caregiver. Through consistent routines and embracing moments of chill time even during challenging early mornings, managing autism care becomes more balanced. Remember, while early mornings never get easier, finding small happy moments throughout the day can help sustain your energy and positivity.
