3 activities to try with your little one
1- Whats the emotion- have your child color each face to match the emotion. Also have them tell you what that emotion is.
2- Where are my tires- get some colored dot stickers and drawl some cars without tires. Then have your child put the stickers where the tires for each car goes.
3- Match the dots- drawl some different colored circles on paper and grab your colored dot stickers again and have your child put the same colored stickers on the same colored circles.

Adding to these toddlers activities, I found that involving your child in routine learning games can deeply enhance their developmental skills. For example, with the "What's the emotion" game, you can expand it by including more faces that show complex feelings such as surprise or frustration. This helps toddlers not only recognize emotions but also express themselves better. For "Where are my tires?", I like to add a little storytelling element where each car has a name and a little background. It turns the sticker activity into a fun character adventure, which keeps the toddler more engaged and willing to participate multiple times. "Match the dots" is a fantastic activity for color matching and hand-eye coordination. I often introduce a timed challenge or a counting aspect where my toddler counts the dots as they place them, boosting their counting skills alongside color recognition. Using colored dot stickers as a versatile tool in these games has been very effective. They are easy to handle for small hands and visually appealing. Activities like these create bonding moments and promote learning in a playful, stress-free way. Plus, these simple games require minimal setup and cost, making them accessible for any parent aiming to nurture their child’s growth through creative play.
