Little Fires Everywhere
This book was so popular once the Hulu show was going to come out. I picked it up a couple weeks ago and just finished.
It’s an interesting read. I like that the author delves into the past of the characters and also gives us glimpses of their futures while telling us about what’s happening in the now. The last page was heart-wrenching and satisfying. Chapel Roan’s voice singing “she got away” echoed in my head at the end of the book.
Now I have to watch the show!

From what I’ve heard, the show beautifully captures the nuanced relationships and class tensions that Celeste Ng so brilliantly crafted in her novel. It’s hard to imagine anyone else playing Elena Richardson or Mia Warren, and I'm really looking forward to seeing how their on-screen dynamic unfolds. The show's poster, with its intense imagery, always intrigued me, and now I finally understand the depth behind it. It's a fantastic adaptation that brings a new visual dimension to the story I’ve grown to love. What I particularly appreciate about Celeste Ng’s writing, not just in 'Little Fires Everywhere' but in her other works too, is her incredible ability to build worlds and characters you deeply invest in. If you loved this book, I highly recommend checking out her debut novel, 'Everything I Never Told You.' It’s another powerful story about family secrets and identity, showcasing her signature introspective style. Her novels aren't just stories; they're explorations of human nature, societal expectations, and the quiet struggles that define us.
