Slowly growing my art channel!

It’s summertime which means lots and LOTS of videos are going up on the channel during summer break 🫶✌️

follow my channel if you like drawwithme videos

(real time and sped up screenshots, going to start recording off to the side videos just as soon as i tidy up my desk space a bit.)

chill music, no commentary, no drama, just art and maybe some art tips or Q&A.

I’ve never even gotten close to the views I need to monetize but I’m just gonna keep posting even if I never reach my goal cause I love YouTube it’s just my favorite way of sharing my hobbies with people ❤️

... Read moreHey everyone! I've been getting a lot of questions about how I'm approaching growing my art channel, KrysaraDraws, especially since I'm just focusing on sharing my passion right now. It's a marathon, not a sprint, and I totally get that feeling of 'how do I even get started?' or 'how do I keep going?' So, I wanted to share some of my personal insights and what's been working for me, even with my current 598 subscribers and 551 videos! First off, find your unique voice and niche. For me, it's been my 'draw with me' videos – whether it's real-time digital art sessions or sped-up creations set to chill music. I love creating those colorful digital art portraits you see, and I've even dabbled in tutorials like 'Inkscape GET STARTED USING VECTORS' because I enjoy sharing what I learn. Focusing on what you genuinely love to create makes consistency so much easier. If you're passionate about painting landscapes, make that your thing! If it's character design, lean into it. Don't try to be like everyone else; let your true artistic style shine. Consistency is absolutely key! You might have noticed I mentioned lots and lots of videos going up, especially during summer break. This isn't just to fill my time; it's because the more you upload, the more opportunities people have to discover your work. Even if a video only gets a few views initially, it's still out there building your library. I try to maintain a regular schedule that works for *me*, without burning out. It's better to upload one quality video a week consistently than five in one week and then nothing for a month. Focus on quality content that provides value. Even without commentary, my goal is to provide a relaxing art experience or teach something new. Think about what viewers want to see. Are they looking for inspiration? Learning a new technique? Or just a calming background while they draw themselves? My 'no commentary, just art' approach aims for that chill vibe. If you do plan on commentary later, think about what tips or Q&A you could offer. Don't underestimate the power of your visuals. Your video thumbnails and titles are your first impression! Even if you're not getting a million views yet, make sure your thumbnails are clear, eye-catching, and represent your art. For my Inkscape tutorial, I made sure the thumbnail clearly showed what it was about. A strong title like "How I'm Growing My Art Channel on YouTube: Draw With Me & Art Tips" helps people know exactly what they're clicking into. Finally, and this is a big one for me: do it because you love it. I haven’t even gotten close to monetizing, but I keep posting because YouTube is my favorite way of sharing my hobbies. That genuine joy and passion for art will shine through and attract like-minded people. Celebrate your small wins – hitting 100 subscribers, getting a kind comment, finishing a challenging piece. Every step forward, no matter how small, is progress. Keep drawing, keep creating, and keep sharing your beautiful art with the world!
