This is where you tell us a little bit about yourself, your living situation, and why you feel Hershey would be a great fit for your family. Don't be shy – share your heart! We love to hear about the loving homes our puppies might go to. Step 2: Our Application & Screening Process Once you've expressed interest, we'll send you a more detailed application. This helps us ensure that all our puppies, especially precious Hershey, go to safe, stable, and loving environments. We'll ask about your previous pet experience, your work schedule, if you have a fenced yard, and your veterinarian's contact information for a reference check. Sometimes, we might even arrange a quick video call to chat and answer any questions you have. It’s all about finding the perfect match for Hershey and for you! Step 3: Meeting Hershey (Virtual or In-Person) Depending on your location and Hershey's age, we try to arrange a 'meet and greet'. This could be through a video call where you can see Hershey playing and interacting with his littermates, or, if feasible, an in-person visit to our facility. Step 4: Deposit & Reservation If everything feels right and we both agree Hershey is the perfect match, a non-refundable deposit is required to reserve him. This deposit secures your place as Hershey's future family and allows us to finalize his preparations for coming home. The remaining balance is typically due upon pickup. Step 5: Preparing for Hershey's Arrival While you wait for Hershey to be old enough to go home (usually around 8-10 weeks), we'll provide you with a comprehensive 'Puppy Parent Guide'. This guide is packed with tips on everything from recommended food brands, essential puppy supplies (like a crate, toys, and leash), to early training advice and how to prepare your home for a French Bulldog puppy. It's all about setting Hershey up for success in his new environment. We'll also ensure Hershey has had his first vaccinations, a vet check-up, and deworming before he leaves our care. Step 6: Hershey Comes Home! The most exciting day! We'll coordinate a pickup date and time. When you come to ADOPT HERSHEY, we'll go over his health records, a detailed care sheet, and answer any last-minute questions you might have. We believe in providing ongoing support, so even after Hershey is home with you, we're just a phone call or email away if you need advice.
