Scripting for a Healthy Relationship ✨

Story time!! In my twenties I was bartending on the Las Vegas strip, and as you can probably imagine- dating was an absolute hellscape 😂 it was a nightmare trying to find someone genuine, someone who wasn’t trying to stay out until the sun came up, someone who could hold a conversation!! This place is a desert in more ways than one 😂

I remember making a journal entry on what I wanted in my next relationship. I wanted someone who was spiritual, someone who wanted to go deeper into that spirituality and grow together! Someone who wanted to slow down and appreciate the little things in life. But mostly- I needed to heal myself!! I spent so much time and energy getting to the root of my relationship wounds so that I could walk into a healthy relationship as aware as possible.

And as the story goes- when I had all but sworn off dating- my best friend says “I know a guy!”

She told me he had a big beard and he was a wrestler…not things I was particularly interested in at the time 😂😂😂but the first night we met we talked for hours about anything and everything. We felt so comfortable with each other right away! When I left to go home I was worried about one of my tires and this man got on his belly to check my tire pressure 😭 looking back he probably could’ve just kneeled or crouched but it was still nice 😂😂😂 we moved in together after 5 months and here we are 8 years and one baby later ❤️

I think I was able to recognize the match I had with my now husband because I got clear with myself and with the universe on what I wanted-but I couldn’t have done any of that if I hadn’t prioritized my own healing first!
