Fantasy/Witchcraft Show and Movie Recs!

I want to find fantasy and witchcraft related things to watch -that aren’t insanely violent! When I was younger I watched the goriest stuff with no problem but I just can’t do it anymore, I’ve gone soft and I like it 😂 I have a hard time watching low vibrational stuff so I’m hoping one of you lovely people has a suggestion for a movie or series that doesn’t rely on shock value 🥴

Thanks in advance! 😍❤️

Blessed be✨

... Read moreOh my goodness, I totally get what you mean! It's so hard to find those genuinely magical vibes movies and shows nowadays that don't lean into intense violence or dark themes. I've been on a similar quest because sometimes you just want something beautiful and uplifting, right? My taste has definitely shifted to appreciating more gentle fantasy films and charming witchcraft series over the years. It’s like I’ve gone 'soft' too, and honestly, I love it! Based on your request for *non-violent fantasy & witchcraft show and movie recommendations*, I have a few ideas that might just hit the spot! If you're looking for something with pure enchantment and a strong sense of community, 'Practical Magic' is a timeless classic from the 90s. It’s got that perfect blend of sisterhood, magic, and a touch of romance without anything too heavy or relying on shock value. For a series, 'Good Witch' (often streaming on Peacock, but similar cozy charm to content you'd find on Hulu) is incredibly heartwarming. It's definitely a spell series that focuses on everyday magic and community, leaving you feeling warm and fuzzy. Another fantastic option for magical vibes is Neil Gaiman's 'Stardust.' It’s an adventure but keeps things lighthearted and whimsical, full of charming characters and a truly epic yet gentle fairytale feel. It's one of those fantasy movie recommendations that truly feels like a breath of fresh air. If you're into animated films, Studio Ghibli movies like 'Kiki's Delivery Service' or 'Howl's Moving Castle' are absolute must-sees for their breathtaking animation and deeply magical, yet never violent, storytelling. They perfectly embody the spirit of fantasy movie recommendations that are truly "better options" than typical action-heavy fare, offering deep emotional resonance without gore. For something with a slightly more modern witchy feel but still very much on the wholesome side, 'A Discovery of Witches' (available on AMC+ or Shudder, and sometimes other platforms!) has romance, history, and magic without being graphic. It's a fantastic witchcraft film series if you enjoy a good mystery interwoven with powerful magic. It really delivers on the fantasy witchcraft film aspect while keeping things mature but respectful of your 'no low vibrational stuff' preference. I hope these Fantasy/Witchy Show and Movie Recommendations give you a great starting point! It’s wonderful to connect with others who also appreciate positive, enchanting stories. Let me know if you check any of these out – I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Hmm maybe try Buffy the Vampire Slayer!! I haven’t seen every episode of it yet, but it doesn’t seem too gory at all! Granted, I’m fine with gore though, so maybe take my advice with a grain of salt! ❤️
