Witchcraft as a “Trend?” Rant:

Let me just get this out of the way first- our ancestors that practiced all over the world did not face 💀and persecution so that we could gatekeep and shame people who are trying to better themselves get in touch with the powers that be. That doesn’t fly with me.

The fact that witchcraft is “trending” is a beautiful and amazing thing to me!

Quick disclaimer- Respect closed practices! Do your own research! Don’t do karma’s job for her! Listen to your gut!

Witches are healers, social justice warriors, messengers, and guides- we are here to raise the collective consciousness together! The fact that more and more people are interested in witchcraft is only a blessing.

So WELCOME! Come as you are!! Start where you are with what you have! You are welcome to everything I’ve learned and will learn as long as you never listen to me (or anyone) blindly! If something doesn’t feel right for you, leave it be!

Your craft is unique to you, it doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s. Find what lights you up, that’s exactly what this world needs from you! ❤️

Blessed be✨

... Read moreBuilding on my thoughts about witchcraft becoming a 'trend,' I want to dive a little deeper into what it means to truly embrace this path, especially for those just starting out. It's easy to feel overwhelmed when you see so many different practices and traditions, but remember: your craft is uniquely yours. One of the first things I learned on my journey was the importance of research. As I said before, respect closed practices. This means understanding the origins and cultural significance of various traditions before incorporating them. Instead of just jumping in, take time to read. A spellbook or a good introductory guide can be your best friend. Look for authors who emphasize ethical practice and historical accuracy. I remember spending hours in libraries and online forums, just soaking up information and cross-referencing different sources. This critical thinking is key to developing your own informed practice. Then comes the exciting part: experimentation! What resonates with you? Do you feel drawn to lunar magic, working with the full moon cycles? Perhaps the grounding, protective energy of crystals speaks to your soul – I personally love working with amethyst for calm and black tourmaline for shielding. Maybe you find solace in nature, connecting with animals like the intuitive black cat or observing the life cycles represented by creatures like the frog. Don't be afraid to try different things! Your path might involve divination with tarot cards, herbalism, candle magic, or simply mindful meditation under the stars. There’s no single right way, and your unique approach is what makes it powerful. Some even find beauty in symbolic items like a skull or spiderweb in their altar setup, representing cycles of life, death, and creation. Finding your community can also be incredibly enriching. While some prefer a solitary path, connecting with other practitioners, whether online in a forum or in local groups, can offer support, shared knowledge, and a sense of belonging. I’ve found so much inspiration and friendship in online spaces where people share their experiences openly and without judgment. Just like I said in my rant, we're here to raise collective consciousness together, and that often happens in community. Look for groups that prioritize respect, learning, and genuine connection. Finally, remember the core principles: intention, intuition, and respect. Trust your gut – if something doesn't feel right, it probably isn't for you. And always approach your craft with clear, positive intentions. Whether you’re setting intentions with a simple candle, meditating with a favorite crystal, or just appreciating the cycle of the moon, you are practicing. The beauty of this path is its adaptability and personal nature. Don't let anyone tell you your craft isn't "witchy enough." If it lights you up and helps you connect to yourself and the world around you, then it's perfect. So, welcome again, and enjoy discovering what truly makes your spirit sing! Blessed be.

I think witchcraft becoming a trend is dangerous, because you have people playing around with stuff they have no knowledge of especially the love spells

it shouldn’t be a trend at all. People need to take it seriously. The “trend”, is people not taking it seriously and thinking it’s silly.
