😋Yummy Café At Maxwell ✨️

🍋Hi Zesty! I've recently ToMo Cafe at Neil Road, and I thought it was really good and definitely lived up to expectations (4.6 stars on google review). I like that it's not too far off from Maxwell station so you can get there quite easily.

The interior was clean, minimalist vibes, and bright, which I liked. Here's my take on the food I ordered:

1. 🍝Rose Duck Linguine ($20)

I was looking at the menu, and this attracted me as I love rose pasta (you don't necessarily see it often as a menu item at other places). They were very generous with the slices of smoked duck they gave, and the pasta was cooked nicely with a perfect balance of tomato and cream sauce. They also had brunch options as well if you're visiting earlier in the day and you are looking for that.

2. 🍄Truffle Tater Tots ($7 - Half Size)

You get to choose whether you want truffle or mentaiko flavoured tater tots. I shared this with a friend as a side dish, and they definitely didn't skimp on the truffle sauce on the side and the cheese. I like truffle, so that was greatly appreciated. It was a bigger than expected portion, given we chose the half sized portion, and we barely finished it. I do want to try out the mentaiko next time to see what's that like as well.

3. 🍵Momo Sencha ($6)

ToMo Café actually has a wide range of really interesting looking drinks, especially teas that I would want to go back and try next time round. I chose Momo Sencha as I wasn't feeling very well that day and wanted a hot tea. It came in a small teapot, and I really liked the smell of the tea, which is a fusion of light peach sweetness and green tea. It was a lovely drink to have with the meal.

I visited ToMo Café actually as I was looking for a nice café that was near Littered With Books (an independent bookstore that you can stop by as a nice activity as well). I also realised later on that they're a chain and have other spots across Singapore, too. All in all, I think I will visit again to try out other foods and drinks on their menu. 🙂‍↕️

... Read moreIf you’re planning a visit to ToMo Café at Neil Road, here are a few tips from my experience that might help enhance your visit. Firstly, ToMo Café is conveniently located near Maxwell MRT station, making it an easy and quick stop during a day exploring the area, especially if you want to combine it with a visit to Littered With Books, an independent bookstore nearby. This makes for a lovely afternoon itinerary of good food and unique finds. When ordering, I highly recommend trying the Truffle Tater Tots—even the half portion was surprisingly filling and generously sauced with truffle flavor, a treat for truffle fans. If you’re curious, next time try the mentaiko flavor for a different but equally interesting taste experience. The Momo Sencha tea was a delightful choice for a warm and comforting drink, perfectly balancing the refreshing aroma of peach with the earthiness of green tea. If you enjoy specialty teas, ToMo Café offers several intriguing tea options worth exploring on your next visit. Lastly, the café’s bright, minimalist interior creates a pleasant atmosphere, ideal for relaxed dining or catching up with friends. Whether you're headed there for brunch or a casual meal later in the day, the menu's variety ensures there's something for everyone. Overall, ToMo Café at Neil Road offers not just great food, but a comfortable and easygoing experience close to central Singapore. I’ll definitely be returning to sample more of their offerings and discover new favorites.
