Yesterday I took a individual from the airport to the Bellevue area of Nashville, TN. I made a stop at a place I always enjoy dining at for lunch. Plus, this is restaurant that was recommended to me by post it note. It is part cafe and mercantile but the food is always very good.
Cafe Sperry's is located just off of Highway 70 in Bellevue, TN. The cafe offers great breakfast and lunch items as well as a wide variety of coffee, teas, and other creative morning drinks. I had their Iced Green tea which was quite flavorful and had hints of herbal to it. I also had their Pecan Chicken Salad Sandwich. The sandwich was excellent with the Chicken Salad offered so many delightful flavors and the pecans are a nice touch. The service is awesome along with being very friendly. The ambiance is very quaint and very clean. The dining area offers both tables and couches to enjoy your meal or a very calm areas to complete your work.
Next door is Sperry's Mercantile which offers a cool market with a butcher shop and seafood. This is the same cuts of meat and seafood that you find at Sperry's Restaurant in Belle Meade and Cool Springs. They also offer all their sides that you find in the dining experience along with other great items for taking your own culinary talent to your own kitchen.
These are two great places to check out in the Bellevue area. There are plenty of great shopping nearby with One Bellevue Place. The Ford Ice Center for ice skating and hockey. Percy Warner Park for great hiking is less than ten minutes away. This area of Nashville is less than twenty minutes from the downtown area. Plenty of hotels nearby and other stops. Add a experience to Cafe Sperry's and Sperry's Mercantile when visiting Nashville, TN. #ridingwithkurt
... Read moreAfter my delicious Pecan Chicken Salad Sandwich, I just had to share more about why Cafe Sperry's and Sperry's Mercantile have become a new favorite spot for me in Bellevue, Nashville! Beyond the amazing sandwich, which truly lived up to its reputation with those delightful flavors and a nice pecan crunch, their menu offers such a refreshing variety. I noticed they have a range of creative morning drinks, and my Iced Green Tea was perfectly balanced, with those subtle herbal notes making it incredibly refreshing. If you're looking for more than just coffee, their tea selection is definitely worth exploring. I also saw other patrons enjoying what looked like hearty breakfast plates and other tempting lunch options, so there's always something new to try.
What really stood out, besides the food, was the whole vibe of Cafe Sperry's. It's so quaint and feels incredibly clean, which is always a huge plus for me. I loved how they offer different seating options – whether you want a cozy couch to relax on or a table to get some work done, they've got you covered. The walls adorned with framed horse pictures and a large historical map give the place a really unique and comforting charm. It's the kind of spot where you can easily spend an hour or two just unwinding. And the service? Absolutely top-notch! Everyone was so friendly and genuinely made me feel welcome, which makes all the difference.
Right next door, Sperry's Mercantile is a treasure trove for foodies and home cooks. Walking in, you immediately see why it's so popular. The display cases are filled with what looks like premium cuts of meat and fresh seafood, echoing the quality you'd find at Sperry's upscale restaurants. It's fantastic for when you want to bring that gourmet experience home. I saw signs for quality meats, sundries, and even Irish seafood – making it a great place to pick up something special. They also have a lovely selection of pre-made sides, bottled juices, and delightful packaged pastries and desserts, perfect for a quick grab-and-go meal or a treat. I even spotted some artisanal coffee and tea selections there, which makes sense given the cafe's offerings. It’s a brilliant concept, combining a cozy cafe with a high-quality market right next door.
