15th Street Fisheries Fort Lauderdale, FL!!!

After a great day at the beach I ventured off to another dining experience that I have a couple of post it note recommendations for. The restaurant has been around for over forty years in the Fort Lauderdale area. It has magnificent views of the intercoastal waterway and the Fort Lauderdale Marina.

The 15th Street Fisheries is an awesome dining experience. There are two levels where the first level is the dockside which has more of a casual approach. The second level is more fine dining menu and upscale where I ate dinner at tonight. The menu ranges from appetizers, soups, salads, entree dishes, and desserts. Every meal begins with their homemade cheddar baked rolls that are quite tasty. For my first course I had their homemade New England Clam Chowder. It was absolutely delicious with hints of smoked bacon with the chopped clam and other ingredients with a creamy broth. They serve the soup with oyster crackers and every bite was good to the end. The entree was the Pan Roasted Grouper that was cooked to perfection and sat on top of a combination of quinoa, shitake mushrooms, baby clam meat and a cheese cream sauce that sat below. The dish was topped with fried onions and the entire dish had excellent flavor. For wines the Mezzacorona Pinot Grigio paired nicely with both dishes as it balanced out the heaviness of both dishes.

The views from the dining room are awesome. The service is immaculate and the servers were very knowledgeable about the menu and wines. Next time you are in Fort Lauderdale and looking for a upscale dining experience head to 15th Street Fisheries. #ridingwithkurt #delta #postit #southflorida

... Read moreHaving visited 15th Street Fisheries myself, I can attest to its unique charm and culinary excellence that goes beyond typical seafood dining. The restaurant’s location along the intercoastal waterway provides an unmatched ambiance, especially during sunset hours when the marina lights start to twinkle. The two distinct dining areas cater to different moods. If you’re looking for a relaxed atmosphere, the dockside level is an ideal spot to enjoy fresh seafood while feeling the ocean breeze. On the other hand, the upstairs fine dining room offers a sophisticated experience with attentive service and a well-curated wine list. The Mezzacorona Pinot Grigio is indeed a standout pairing, balancing richness in dishes like the Pan Roasted Grouper. Menu highlights include inventive dishes such as the Seared Tuna Teriyaki Bowl and the Warm Lobster Roll mentioned in their dockside offerings. Don't miss their homemade cheddar baked rolls, which set a delicious tone for the meal. The New England Clam Chowder is a personal favorite, rich with smoky bacon and tender clams, served with oyster crackers that complete the traditional experience. Beyond the food, I found the staff exceptionally knowledgeable. They explained menu ingredients and wine pairings in detail, making the visit educational and enjoyable. If you’re a seafood enthusiast or simply want to explore South Florida’s culinary scene, 15th Street Fisheries combines historic appeal, fresh local ingredients, and stunning waterfront views. It’s perfect for special occasions or a memorable night out after a beach day.
