Book review: The Villa
Mystery novel. 2 old friends reconnect and go on a trip together, the house they stay at has a dark history. They look into this history, try to connect some dots, one of them has a big secret that is revealed towards the end. This was a bit of a slow start for me. I like it better when a book hooks me in immediately. It is a pretty quick read, so it was easier to push through. I kind of hated that there were multiple story lines. I was interested in the present story, but it kept flashing back to a story in the past and I was a little bored with that one until about halfway through the book. It was definitely all worth it when the stories start to align and make more sense. There is a twist at the end that I didn’t see coming. They wrapped up the book so quick in an extreme way without too many details about it. Just like every other book I read, I would love to see a movie version of this story. It wasn’t entertaining the whole time, but I think it was still worth it in the end! Has anyone else ready this?
