Blue and Red Tiles! ✨
Today’s drawing of the day is a page full of red and blue tiles! ❤️💙
Materials:
- Pilot precise V5 rolling ball pens 🖊️
- Strathmore sketchbook 5.5” x 8.5” size 📕
I have done another tile drawing in the past but I wanted to try the same technique but with two different colors! ✍️
I absolutely love how this turned out! The colors make it really pop 😍 Now that I have drawn lots of tiles I have also improved the designs of the tiles!
Do you like the red tiles ❤️or blue tiles 💙 better?
It's truly amazing how a simple color combination like red and blue can open up a world of creative possibilities, isn't it? My latest tile drawing project was such a joy, and it really got me thinking about all the fantastic red and blue drawing ideas out there, especially for pen art enthusiasts. When I first started this piece, I just knew I wanted to explore more intricate patterns within a grid, similar to my previous tile work. But this time, focusing solely on red and blue forced me to get really creative with how I used lines, shapes, and density to create visual interest. If you're looking for your next drawing idea, consider starting with a limited color palette. It’s a brilliant way to challenge yourself and often leads to surprisingly complex and beautiful results. For instance, think about how you can use cross-hatching or stippling to create different shades and textures with just a red pen and a blue pen. The contrast between these two colors can be incredibly striking, whether you're going for a bold, graphic look or something more subtle. My go-to materials, the Pilot Precise V5 pens and my trusty Strathmore sketchbook, really made a difference. The fine tips of the Precise V5 pens are perfect for those tiny, detailed patterns I love creating. They offer such crisp, consistent lines, which is essential when you're drawing intricate tile designs like these. And the Strathmore paper holds up wonderfully, allowing for multiple layers without bleeding. If you're tackling your own red and blue drawing ideas, especially those that involve detailed line work, investing in good quality pens and paper is a game-changer. You'll find that the tools themselves can inspire new techniques and push your art further. Beyond just geometric tiles, red and blue can tell so many stories. Imagine abstract waves crashing with red accents, or a whimsical creature composed of both cool blues and warm reds. You could even try drawing a landscape at dusk or dawn, playing with the transition of light using these two vibrant colors. Another fun concept is to create a dynamic mandala, where each section alternates between red and blue motifs, building up a complex, mesmerizing pattern. The key is to experiment! Don't be afraid to fill a page with different small experiments – try different patterns, different ways of combining the colors, or even different drawing styles. That's how I discover what I love and what works best. I really encourage you to pick up your pens and explore your own red and blue drawing ideas. You might be surprised at what you come up with. Whether it's replicating detailed patterned tiles or embarking on a completely new abstract composition, the journey of creating is always rewarding. And hey, if you try it out, I'd love to see what red and blue masterpieces you create!
