New to refinding my faith

I’ve always wondered if there was something more to life than just living. I’ve always believed in God and use to pray at night when I was younger for God to make sure all of my loved ones, living and passed on, to going to church when I was 17 with my friend but was young and not taking it as serious as I should have to now at 23 feeling a calling to find my faith again.

I struggle with a lot mentally and always have severe mood swings, anxiety about things like being a people pleaser or overthinking situations, having bad body dysmorphia and never understanding who I am as a person. I also was a very mean person and took it out on those I love most sometimes. I never knew why I was constantly sad everyday but ever since I have had a tug on my heart to buy a Bible did I have clarity.

I want to better understanding God and understanding I should stop worrying about everything else instead of living each day grateful that I was put on Earth. I know I’m not perfect and don’t really know how to explain this but I just have so much happiness instilled in me since I went to church again for the first time in 6 years I just knew my calling was to come back to God and follow his lead. I don’t know fully where I align my beliefs or questioning things about things daily but hopefully I have a better understanding the more I learn.

Anyways this is my Bible and I decorated it pink! I really like it and would love to make friends who are along the same stage in their lives :)#

... Read moreFinding your faith can be a profound and transformative experience, especially after a period of disconnection. Many individuals face emotional challenges such as anxiety, identity struggles, and mood swings, just as I did. The journey back to spirituality often involves seeking community support, revisiting sacred texts, and embracing vulnerability. Faith is not just about belief; it’s about understanding oneself and finding peace in daily life. The Bible, as a tool for reflection, can provide guidance and clarity during turbulent times. Engaging with faith-based communities, whether online or in-person, fosters connections with like-minded individuals. It opens doors to discussions about belief, spirituality, and personal experiences. This supportive environment can alleviate feelings of isolation and inspire personal growth. Additionally, incorporating mindfulness practices such as gratitude can greatly enhance one’s spiritual journey. Recognizing daily blessings cultivates a positive mindset, allowing you to appreciate life’s moments, both big and small. Faith journeys are unique and can take many forms. It’s perfectly okay to question beliefs and seek understanding along the way. Embrace the process of rediscovering your spirituality, and remember that many others share similar experiences and struggles.

I can resonate with this to the T!!! Just know sis all God wants is a relationship with you & the only way to obtain that is reading His Word! So keep at it & watch God continue to speak to you the more you read! Sanctification is a life-long process but He will guide us every step of the way!!!
