Homemade body oil with intention 🪄

There’s nothing more that I love then taking care of my skin and body, so today I decided to combine my two favorite practices — herbs and beauty 😊

I combined apricot and sweet almond oil with my favorite self love herbs like rose petals, lavender, cloves, chamomile, hibiscus, and yarrow. And I added my favorite fragrance oil for the smell to last all day🌹🌺🌼🪻

But more importantly while making anything for yourself, you are to set an intention in why you are doing it. Like a plant, you should speak kind words into whatever you decide to make for yourself 🌱

From my experience, using apricot and sweet almond oils as a base provides a light, non-greasy texture that absorbs beautifully, leaving your skin soft and hydrated without feeling heavy. Incorporating herbs such as rose petals, lavender, cloves, chamomile, hibiscus, and yarrow introduces both beneficial properties and a calming fragrance that enhances relaxation and self-love. For example, lavender is known for its soothing effect, while chamomile can help calm irritated skin. Hibiscus adds a lovely floral note and contains antioxidants, and yarrow supports skin healing. What truly makes homemade body oil special is the intention you set while making it. Speaking kind words and focusing on your purpose—whether it's healing, self-love, or relaxation—can amplify the emotional benefits of your skincare ritual. I like to imagine my body oil as a plant, flourishing with positive energy that I infuse through this loving creation. To personalize your blend further, try adding your favorite essential or fragrance oil to make the scent last throughout the day, creating a sensory experience that uplifts your mood. This holistic approach combines the magic of nature with mindful practice, turning a simple skincare routine into a nourishing, soulful moment. If you’re new to DIY body oils, start with small batches and experiment with different herbs and scents to find your perfect blend. Remember, the key is to treat the process as an act of self-care and intention-setting, which can be incredibly rewarding for your skin and well-being.
