Learning has always felt like home to me

Learning has always felt like home to me. Early on I came to realize that most of what we’re given growing up…. The text books, the “important works”, the lessons repeated year after year are all written by people who write from the lense they see through.

.

Most texts are not first person accounts, and the ones that are usually carry heafty political or cultural bias. That doesn’t make them worthless it just means we as the reader, have to learn how to see the bias and not just simply absorb it.

.

What is often missing in education is the ability to hold both truths at once…. To analyze information without bias, and to understand why bias exists in the first place. That balance… discernment paired with empathy….. is where real evolution happens ❤️

.

We can honor history and still move forward….. we can question without disrespecting….. we can evolve without erasing…….

.

I have always had a hunger to understand beyond my own cultural experience, beyond my own comfort, and into the depths of how truth and perspective shape the world ……

.

I hope I have passed this on to my children, and I hope to connect with more humans who see this. Learning is a life long adventure and I’m so excited and thankful to have found my passion for learning at such a young age, this next few years will be so much fun as opportunities to grow keep finding me 😍
