Styling Black Ballet Flats for Summer
We’ve all seen that ballet flats really came back in a huge way this year. I loved the black ballet flats for Fall/Winter, but wanted to figure out some ways to style them for the summer without just wearing black outfits to match. I started with my black ballet flats from Dolce Vita and played around from there:
1. I wanted to go with a classic summer look to start so did a white linen maxi skirt with a basic white tee. This was a perfect look to make the shoes pop and I used other black accessories (handbag + sunglasses) to make the black flats seem more intentional.
2. Next, I wanted to do something a bit more fun and mix in different colors and patterns. So I traded out the skirt for some fun red and white gingham boxer shorts and threw on an oversized denim jacket. I felt like this was a really fun casual look for summer and also super comfortable for the day!
3. Last, I went back to a more black + white look, but went with denim shorts this time. This gave it a younger/more casual vibe that’s perfect for a hot summer day!
