Envelope Deco!!!

So excited to mail these letters out tomorrow!!!

I had so much fun decorating and filling these up with stickers, tape, letters and memos!!!

The first envelope is based around the persons personality! The second (Jaylens) is cherry themed! The last is for Ellie! Which is based around how I perceive her!

Like me, if you're looking for ways to add that extra special touch to your handwritten letters and make your penpal's day, you've come to the right place. Decorating envelopes is one of my favorite aesthetic craft inspo activities, and it truly transforms ordinary snail mail into something memorable. When I started decorating these envelopes for my friends, I always began by thinking about the recipient. What are their hobbies? What colors do they love? For example, one friend's personality inspired a quirky mix of stickers, including a Vincent van Gogh sticker, a playful hot dog with a face, fun beer mugs, and sweet strawberries – all tied together with beautiful floral and brown paper elements. It's all about making it uniquely 'them' and giving them a little hint of what's inside before they even open it! Another easy way to get started with aesthetic envelope ideas is to pick a clear theme. For Jaylen, I went all out with a cherry theme! I layered various cherry stickers, added a cute cherry milkshake, a little heart, and even a charming toasted bread character all on a vibrant golden background. Having a theme makes it really easy to choose coordinating stickers and colors, and it gives your envelope a really polished, cohesive look. For Ellie, I focused on elements that I felt represented her personality – soft and sweet! This led me to use an adorable brown rabbit sticker with a pink bow, some playful pink lips, a whimsical cartoon girl, and a little fairy, all placed on a cheerful pink and white checkered background. Don't be afraid to mix and match different elements to create a cohesive look that tells a story. Beyond stickers and washi tape, which are my go-to's, there are so many ways to create beautiful envelope designs. Have you ever considered adding small drawings? Even simple doodles like stars, hearts, or flowers can really elevate your design. You don't need to be an artist; just draw what feels right! Hand-lettering the recipient's name, similar to how I wrote 'JAYLEN' or 'ellie' on mine, also adds a personal and artistic touch. For a truly vintage vibe, you could even try using old stamps or a wax seal – they instantly give that 'old letter design ideas' feel and make your envelope feel like a precious artifact. My top tip for creating aesthetic envelopes? Don't overthink it! Start with a few elements you love, like a favorite sticker or a piece of pretty paper, and build from there. Experiment with different layouts and textures. You can find so much inspiration on platforms like Pinterest for 'aesthetic envelope drawing' or 'envelope design pinterest' if you're feeling stuck. Remember, it's about the joy of creating something unique and showing your penpal how much you care. These little details make the entire experience of sending and receiving handwritten letters so much more special. So grab your stickers, pens, and paper, and start creating your own beautiful, personalized envelope designs today – your friends will absolutely love them!
