Art Collaboration

I've been working with a fellow who goes by the name Rey C, a.k.a Rey Carmier, a wood carving artist, & an animal and plant enthusiast--as well as a resident of L.A! They first came to me asking for a couple bracelets in my crochet style. One for his lady, and one for himself. I was happy to give it a go, as I'm just beginning to perfect my style. Anywho! Rey has all the ๐Ÿชต wood to make you a Spoonlike thing! Visit him at TikTok! [ @reycarmier ] I can't wait to receive the wooden earrings that I asked for in this collaboration. #artist #woodworking #collab #tiktok #crystals There are two crochet crystal bracelets, one chain bracelet and two heart shaped worry stones. As well as some sticker/decals!

In my experience working with Rey Carmier, a talented wood carving artist and nature lover based in L.A., the fusion of crochet and woodworking brought new inspiration to both our crafts. Rey's dedication to natural materials and his skill with wood transformed simple ideas into meaningful pieces, like the wooden earrings I eagerly await. Creating crochet crystal bracelets and chain bracelets alongside Rey's wooden accessories allowed us to mix textures and storytelling in our designs. I found that combining soft yarns with hard, natural wood created a beautiful contrast that appeals to lovers of handmade, earthy art. Also, incorporating crystals and heart-shaped worry stones introduced elements of mindfulness and energy healing into our collaboration, which added a deeper layer of connection to the pieces. For anyone considering a similar artistic partnership, I recommend embracing the learning curve as you explore new styles. Sharing your creative visions openly and respecting each other's materials and techniques makes the process smoother and more enjoyable. Watching how an idea evolves when two different forms of art meet is exciting and can spark projects you never imagined. If youโ€™re interested in unique handcrafted accessories, check out Reyโ€™s work on TikTok at @reycarmier, where he shares his woodworking projects. This partnership showed me how blending crafts like crochet and woodworking can produce truly special collaborations that highlight both artistsโ€™ talents and passions.
