TEACHER WEBSITE ESSENTIALS FOR YOUR CLASSROOM ✨🧡

Okay guys!! Here are some of my favorite websites that I use as a teacher. I teach elementary but I feel like all of these could be used for any grade level. We all know teaching requires a lot of extra work, so I feel like a lot of these make my life a little bit easier! Here are the details:

🧡Google Drive: the perfect place to keep all of your documents organized, safe, and a great creation tool

🧡MagicSchoolAI: if you have not checked out this website, you HAVE TO! This has saved me so many hours of planning and will create endless things for you in your classroom. A true lifesaver!

🧡PlanbookEdu: the perfect online planbook that you can use year after year! You can add links, share with others, and much more.

🧡ClassroomScreen: I use this daily in my classroom! It has timers, name randomizers, noise meter, and so much more!

🧡Seesaw: app that I use to assign to students and communicate with parents. It is VERY student friendly. Also, there are thousands of premade assignments made from others.

🧡TPT: great website to get free and paid resources

🧡Twinkl: another great website for resources

🧡Canva: I use this to create things for the classroom and teach my students how to use it for projects!

🧡DiscoveryEd: AMAZING resource that has endless information, activities, videos, and more for students to discover in all subjects. It is specific to all grades

🧡NYTIMESgames: my kids love playing these games and they are educational!

🧡(NOT PICTURED): Nearpod: I could do a whole post about this website. It allows kids to follow along on slides or presentations. Kids can create on the presentations, play games, collaborate with peers, and more!

Are there any others you love that you use often?! I know I have more. Also, I have some new followers so if you are a teacher as well, comment what grade you teach!! Let’s learn and get ideas from each other 🫶🏼

... Read moreOkay fellow educators, let's dive deeper into why these digital tools are total game-changers and how you can truly maximize them in your classroom! Just listing them is one thing, but knowing the practical ways they can transform your teaching day is another. I've personally seen how integrating these websites not only saves precious planning hours but also creates a more dynamic and engaging learning environment for my students. First off, Google Drive is more than just cloud storage; it's a collaborative hub. I don't just store my lesson plans (like those detailed "Lesson Plans August 10-23"); I create shared documents with co-teachers, build student portfolios, and even have students collaborate on projects in real-time. My tip? Create a dedicated "Templates" folder for frequently used documents like rubrics or newsletters! MagicSchoolAI is truly revolutionary. When I say it saves hours, I mean *hours*. Beyond generating basic lesson plans, I use its 'Rubric Generator' to quickly create assessment criteria, and the 'Image Generator' helps me create unique visuals. It’s like having a super-efficient teaching assistant, whipping up differentiated activities, quizzes, or creative writing prompts in minutes. For structured planning, PlanbookEdu is my digital lifeline. Seeing my "weekly lesson plan for Week of August 21, 2022" laid out clearly helps me visualize the flow of my week. What makes it powerful is the ability to easily link resources directly into my plans, and even share them with substitutes or admin with a click. ClassroomScreen adds so much to my daily routine. The '10-minute timer' is perfect for transitions, the 'noise meter' helps maintain a calm environment, and the 'polling options' are fantastic for quick checks for understanding. It really transforms my whiteboard into an interactive command center, keeping students focused and engaged. Seesaw isn't just for assigning work; it's a powerful communication and portfolio tool. I love using the 'Popular Community Activities in 4th Grade' to find ready-made, high-quality assignments. Plus, students can showcase their learning in diverse ways – videos, drawings, voice recordings – and parents get a direct window into their child's progress. When it comes to resources, Teachers Pay Teachers (TPT) and Twinkl are goldmines. While TPT has fantastic specific resources like those "Classroom/Locker Gingham Daisy Name Tags" I found, Twinkl offers a broader range, from worksheets to display materials, often themed. My strategy is to check TPT for unique materials and Twinkl for foundational activity packs. Canva isn't just for pretty designs; it's a skill-building tool. I use it to create professional-looking newsletters, posters, and presentations. More importantly, I teach my students how to use it for their projects, helping them develop digital literacy and creativity as they design "name tags" or project covers. Finally, DiscoveryEd and NYTIMESgames bring learning to life. DiscoveryEd offers incredibly rich content, whether it's exploring "The Meteorology of Hurricane Harvey" or understanding "Our World: The Stories Moon Rocks Tell." It's perfect for differentiating and providing engaging supplemental learning. And for a fun, educational brain break, NYTIMESgames like "Wordle" are fantastic for developing vocabulary and critical thinking. Embracing these digital tools has truly streamlined my workflow and deepened student learning. It's about working smarter, not harder, and creating a classroom where both teachers and students thrive!
