Personalizing your bag the Jane Birkin way
I absolutely love this trend going around so I needed to remake it my own way. If you are not familiar with Jane Birkin and her style, she was known to personalize her birkin bags with charms, necklaces, bracelets, scarves, and so on. This is definitely a more ~affordable~ version of this so let’s get into it.
Off the bat this bag is actually thrifted from goodwill. I find the most unique pieces at thrift stores and I love the buckle detailing on this one. Try to pick a bag that has thinner straps and/or buckles so it is easier to attach things to it.
For the charms, I chose this amazing cherry charm from Coach. I am in love with this it is so heavy and good quality and it just looks so cute on a neural colored bag.
I also added my red heart charm from h&m which complemented the cherry. I also had so much ribbon lying around so I decided to tie a bow on one of the straps which looked adorable.
To finish off I thrifted this chunky pearl necklace which I double wrapped around the strap. I loved how this turned out and might need to recreate on all of my bags!!
