Aritzia super puff: my honest thoughts

I was in need of a new winter jacket this year and i honestly had some trouble picking out which one to get.

I originally had a north face which i loved but wished was a bit longer. I decided to give the super puff a chance since i’ve seen nothing but good things online and let me tell you im so glad i did.

This coat has the best insulation and has kept me so warm already. I love how long it is because my legs tend to get cold whenever im walking in the city.

The only con would be that it definitely is pricey! I think a good quality winter jacket is something you HAVE to invest in so it’s worth it.

... Read moreOkay, so you've heard my initial thoughts on the Aritzia Super Puff, but let's really get into the nitty-gritty, especially if you're like me and need a serious winter warrior for daily life. First off, let's talk about the warmth factor. The original post mentioned how warm it is, but what makes it that warm? Digging into the details, this jacket boasts 700+ fill power and is made with responsibly sourced goose down fill. For those unfamiliar, 700+ fill power is seriously impressive, meaning a higher warmth-to-weight ratio. It's not just a puffy coat; it's engineered to trap heat efficiently. Living in a city where winter winds can be brutal, I've found this crucial. It truly feels like a cozy cocoon, easily handling temperatures well below freezing without needing a million layers underneath. I've walked through icy blasts, and my core stays toasty, which is a major win for beating the winter blues. Now, about those daily winter commutes – this is where the long black Aritzia Super Puff truly shines. Many of you might wonder about mobility, especially comparing a long coat to a middle-length or short one. For me, the long version is a game-changer for walking to work or taking public transport. It covers my legs, which, as I mentioned, tend to get super cold. This extended coverage means less exposure to the biting cold, and I don't have to worry about cold drafts creeping up. While a shorter or middle-length Super Puff might offer more unrestricted movement for highly active pursuits like hiking, for urban commuting, the long length provides unparalleled warmth and protection. I haven't found my mobility to be significantly hampered for everyday tasks like getting on a bus or walking briskly. The side zippers also offer some flexibility if you need more leg room. Another common question revolves around durability over time. When you invest in a jacket like this, you want it to last. From my experience so far, the quality feels top-notch. The outer shell seems robust, and the stitching is solid. I've had mine through one full winter, and it looks just as good as new, even with daily wear. To ensure it lasts, proper care is key – always follow the washing instructions (usually professional dry cleaning or careful home washing with specific down-friendly detergent). I believe with good care, this jacket will be a staple in my winter wardrobe for many years to come, making that initial investment truly worthwhile. Finally, let's circle back to the price. Yes, it's an investment, but for a jacket that delivers on warmth, durability, and practicality for cold-weather commuting, it has proven its value. It’s not just a fashion statement; it's a functional piece of outerwear that genuinely makes winter more bearable. If you're tired of being cold and are looking for a reliable, super warm, and stylish coat to get you through the harshest months, the Aritzia Super Puff, especially the long black version, is definitely worth considering. It's transformed my winter experience!

Remember you get what you pay for. These jackets last years if you take care of it. And there are plenty of people wearing 1500 jackets so for the price of the super puff I don’t think it’s that bad especially for the quality of this jacket
