It's hard to be a cripple, but suddenly being a cripple is hard.
Knowing in advance that one day we will be disabled, it's like seeing black clouds forming far away, knowing that rain will come, but not knowing when the storm will splash on our lives in full force.
But sometimes life does not give a moment, suddenly the darkness extinguishes the fire at the end, and the body changes without warning.
Time others know it took me 17 years to be completely blind.
Many people often say in a comforting tone, "At least come to terms."

But the truth is... I never knew what it was better to spend so long or to be cut off in the blink of an eye.
If you can choose, not having to be disabled is best for everyone.
Because whether it's slow or fast, a loss is still a loss.

I thought of the five stages of sadness theory that humans need time, and I found that to be true.
Whether disabled or not, we all have emotions, feelings on the day of loss.
Going through denial, questioning "why me" and letting anger insert into a weak-hearted day.
Angry at yourself, angry at fate, angry at what was taken away.
Quiet or weakened and start haggling with fate, hoping that life will return something to us, maybe everything can be reversed.
Before gently putting that hope down until the day of acceptance.
Not because we're ready, but because we've reached a point where the heart knows the truth is not the enemy.
It's the truth we have to learn to live with.
It's no different when we're heartbroken or lose something so dear.
Anger, bargaining and sadness are all common to humans.
It's not like we can come to terms immediately just because we try.

Because disability does not say how much we are worth; it is only a "fraction" of identity.
Not all of us. Never was. And never should have been.

When we seriously see that all humans have the right to live with equal dignity,
We will find that disability never makes anyone "less."
As long as we believe in our own values.
The world can't take it away.
