It all points to Jesus!

Psalm 80:17-19 speaks of the “man of God’s right hand” and “the Son of Man.” In Hebrews 3:1, Jesus is seated at the right hand of the Father, and throughout the Gospels, He calls Himself the Son of Man. And the best part? Jesus saves! God sent His Son to redeem and restore us!

This was a great scripture to reflect on for the day.🥰

... Read moreThere’s a unique peace that comes with opening the Bible each day, isn't there? It’s not just a book; it's a living word, and seeing those sacred pages, especially in a beautiful King James Version like mine, always feels like a moment infused with purpose. That's why I often find myself "LETTING GOD DECIDE WHAT I READ TODAY." Sometimes it’s a specific devotional, other times it’s simply praying and letting my finger fall on a passage, trusting that God knows what my heart needs to hear. This approach led me to Psalm 80:17-19 recently, and what a powerful revelation it was! The psalm itself is a heartfelt plea for restoration, a cry to God to 'restore us, cause Your face to shine, and we shall be saved.' Within this ancient prayer, the references to the "man of God’s right hand" and "the Son of Man" immediately resonated with me, pointing straight to Jesus. It’s incredible how the Old Testament consistently foreshadows His coming and His role. The "man of God's right hand" signifies authority, honor, and power, a position Jesus explicitly holds as He sits at the right hand of the Father, interceding for us. And then there's the title "Son of Man." This isn't just a simple description; it's a profound declaration of Jesus's identity, linking Him to the prophetic vision in Daniel 7, where one like the Son of Man comes with the clouds of heaven, is given dominion, glory, and a kingdom. Jesus Himself frequently used this title, emphasizing both His humanity and His divine, messianic authority. For me, connecting these verses from Psalm 80 to Hebrews 3:1, where Jesus is explicitly seated at the right hand of the Father, brings such a beautiful coherence to scripture. It underscores the unwavering truth that God's plan of redemption, centered on Jesus, was woven into the fabric of creation from the very beginning. Reflecting on these verses, particularly how they speak of Jesus saving us, is a constant reminder of God's immense love and His desire to redeem and restore us. It makes my daily scripture reading not just a routine, but a profound encounter with divine truth. I encourage you to try letting God decide your daily reading too; you might be surprised by the depths of insight and comfort you discover in His precious word!
