Free camping, crystal blue water!
Baker Lake is one of my personal favorite lakes in the PNW.
It is a bit out of the way but the drive takes you past the Oso land slide & up the Suquamish river in north western Washington. Some breathtaking views!

The lake is surrounded by lush forests, making it an ideal spot for hiking, fishing, and camping. If you’re looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life, Baker Lake offers a serene environment where you can unwind in nature. Camping at Baker Lake is an experience like no other. The area features various campgrounds, some right by the water, providing breathtaking views right from your tent. Travelers can enjoy the peaceful sounds of nature, watch the sunrise over the mountains, and go for refreshing swims in the clear waters. For those who love hiking, there are numerous trails that weave through the woods and along the lake’s shore. Additionally, during warmer months, the vibrant wildlife around the lake is a sight to behold, with the possibility of spotting deer, birds, and other local fauna. The drive to Baker Lake is equally captivating, as it takes you through majestic landscapes, including the historic Oso landslide area and up the Suquamish River, showcasing some of the most picturesque scenery in northwestern Washington.
