Imbolc is the ancient festival of the Celts. It is held early February.

It symbolizes the return of light after a long winter.

Although the snow has not yet melted, the seeds have already begun to wake up under the land.

Imbolc is linked to the goddess Brigid.

The goddess of fire, healing, poetry and inspiration.

Brigid's fire did not burn, but provided warmth.

Not precipitated, but gradually awakened a new life.

Light one white candle.

Meditate, look at the flames and say,

Brigid of flames and holy wells.

The first dawn walker of the year.

I welcome the light back.

May your fire guard the unrevealed way.

May my hands do what my heart knows.

And let this start.

Grow at the rhythm of the land.

Then think of what you want (wait until the candle runs out * should be in charge, because it can burn).

'Let go of old things that are too heavy.

And open up space for a new light to come in silence. '

May Brigid's fire guide you.

May hope gradually grow without being accelerated.
