Honestly it was good the suspense was there but I kinda had an idea who the killer was and I feel like the ending could have been a little better and more suspenseful. But overall really good book.
If you're a fan of murder mysteries like me, 'The Red Letter' offers a compelling blend of suspense and character depth that really drew me in. What stood out to me was how the story weaves together elements like a detective's investigation and a mysterious nun, adding a unique layer to the plot that differs from typical whodunits. While I did have a hunch about the killer early on, the journey to the reveal was engaging enough to keep my interest. One thing I appreciated was how the suspense maintained a steady pace, even if the ending left me wanting just a bit more surprise or intensity to fully satisfy that craving for thrill. For readers who enjoy exploring character motives and subtle clues, this book strikes a good balance between predictability and intrigue. Moreover, the fact that this title has been praised as "Irresistible" by bestselling author James Patterson adds to its credibility and appeal. If you’re looking for a murder mystery that offers more than just the standard chase and reveal, and don’t mind guessing the culprit before the final pages, this might be a great pick for your next read. I also recommend pairing this book with a cozy reading nook and some quiet moments to fully appreciate the atmospheric tension Daniel Miller builds throughout the story. It's definitely a worthy addition to any murder mystery or detective fiction collection.
