that's beautiful here where I live we couldn't even get the town to pay what they were supposed to pay for the shelter that the state came in and shut them down now all there is is a kill shelter I don't like calling it a shelter because they kill them days later matter of fact 1 lady that was out of her own pocket was paying vet bills food for the dogs some repairs heart worm tests you name it I'd help volunteer walking the dogs until it was getting so hard because the dogs were so big and they got so happy they would pull real hard and I walk with a cane but I would help with baths and trying to raise money I have a big mouth and at fairs you need that and I get in front of them and beg for those babies anything for them but there's nothing now😥 I lost the fight and the reason the lady did what she did is because someone stole her dog 2 days later that kill pound that told her no we don't have your dog killed her dog she saw her dog just as they had given him the shot and were going to cremate him that why she was trying to save those dog so they wouldn't go thru what her dog went thru and hopefully and owner would find their dog and we did find a lot of owners but not for all of them
