Manjula vs Japanese Global

When I first started growing both Manjula and Japanese Global Pothos, I was struck by how similar they looked at the cutting stage—especially the Japanese Global Pothos with its typical 5-leaf cutting. However, as they grew and matured, it became clear that their leaf variegation patterns and coloration were quite different. The Manjula Pothos generally features more silvery-white variegation with irregular splashes, while the Japanese Global Pothos tends to have a more green-and-cream marbled effect across its leaves. From my experience, the Japanese Global Pothos grew fuller more quickly but required stable humidity and indirect bright light to maintain its vibrant colors. The Manjula Pothos was a bit more forgiving, thriving moderately well in lower light but showing its best leaf contrast with medium to bright indirect light. Both plants make excellent additions to any houseplant collection, especially for those who love rare and visually striking pothos varieties. They do appreciate well-draining soil and regular watering—allowing the top inch to dry out between waterings to avoid root rot.
