Reminiscing on warmer and greener times 🌿
Oh how I miss spring and summer!
I know many people have a hard time in the winter, me included. Seeing very little living things outside, the cold wind, the darkness… ugh. I can’t wait until things start thawing and growing again! In the meantime I will find joy in the coziness of staying inside. Warm cups of cocoa and tea, soft blankets, and movies from my childhood are a few ways I combat the melancholy I feel. How does winter make you feel? What are some ways you cope?
Stay well and warm lovies ✨🌿💕
As winter settles in, many people begin to reminisce about the warmer days of spring and summer. The stark contrast of dreary gray skies and bare trees can evoke a sense of melancholy. However, embracing this season means finding beauty in the cold. One great way to uplift your spirits is engaging in cozy indoor activities. Consider exploring seasonal hobbies like baking or crafting, which can not only warm your home but also your heart. Watching films that remind you of sunny days can also be a comforting escape. Have a favorite childhood movie that brings nostalgia? Plan a movie marathon with loved ones! Another joyful way to cope is by bringing nature indoors. Decorate your space with houseplants or fresh flowers to remind you of the vibrant life awaiting outside. You can also try starting a small indoor garden with herbs or succulents, allowing you to nurture something during the winter months. Lastly, connecting with others going through similar feelings can be incredibly therapeutic. Consider joining online groups or forums where you can share tips and experiences about coping with winter blues. Remember, you are not alone in this season, and sharing your feelings and solutions can help build a supportive community waiting for the arrival of spring.
