wait… so nobody taught us this growing up? 😭
I really used to think any soap was fine… 😭
like why did nobody tell us:
not all washes are made for down there??
once I learned about pH balance, everything changed…
no irritation
no throwing my body off
just clean, soft, and actually balanced
be honest… did anyone teach y’all this either? 🥲

Growing up, I never realized how crucial it is to use the right kind of wash for feminine hygiene until I started paying attention to pH balance. Using generic soaps often led to irritation and discomfort, but switching to pH-balanced, plant-based washes made a noticeable difference—it felt clean without stripping or upsetting my skin. Another lesson I learned is about the ingredients. Avoiding parabens, sulfates, and silicones can significantly reduce irritation. Instead, opting for probiotic-powered formulas helps maintain the natural flora down there, keeping things healthy and balanced. Breathable underwear, especially cotton, is an essential part of the routine. It helps prevent moisture buildup that can encourage bad bacteria growth. I also pay attention to keeping the area dry and giving my body downtime because stress and excessive moisture can negatively impact intimate wellness. These are simple changes, but they have transformed my daily self-care and comfort levels. I wish this routine had been taught more openly as a young person because understanding these details truly empowers you to take better care of your body in a gentle yet effective way.
