Entering Artist Exhibit 2025
A snippet of what I was able to take before it got a little too crowded.
It was such a great turnout yesterday at the Artists Co-op Gallery in Reno! This was the second year that the gallery has had this mentorship program for up and coming local artists in the area (I was in the program last year), recruiting 5 new artists and assigning 5 members of the Co-Op as their mentors for the next 5 to 6 months before their first official show in January.
This program is one I will always recommend as a new aspiring artist because it is always hard (like anything) trying to figure out where to start. I know before I got started, the only place I was somewhat familiar with was social media, but being able to find shows to participate in, and all the other components that go into a small business as an artist, I had absolutely no idea. So, being a part of this program was such a big help for me, and now it felt like I had a chance to pay it forward with my own mentee, and being able to help support her along this new journey.
If any of you are local to the northern Nevada area, I implore you to check out the Artists Co-op Gallery in Reno. Not only are you showing your support for the local artists, but you are also helping these new aspiring artists by giving them the confidence they need into moving forward with their craft, and showing them that their art is much needed in this chaotic world we live in. 🌎
