Mid week thrifting!
As a 9-5 girlie my schedule is pretty stale! So when I found myself with a day off in the middle of the week I decided to indulge in the shopping center near my home. This Savers opened their doors not too long ago and it is HUGE inside. They’ve managed to neatly fill it up with seemingly quality secondhand items. I personally favored the glassware, books, men clothes and art sections but they have more than enough to look through. Like literally a little bit of everything. Thrifting was definitely on my #fall bucket list so this was a very pleasant little mid week treat, I’ll definitely be back.

After my amazing mid-week thrifting adventure, I can’t stop thinking about how much value and joy these kinds of clothing stores near me bring! It's not just about saving money; it's about uncovering unique pieces and contributing to a more sustainable lifestyle. While I often hear about people looking for specific brands, like Appleseeds clothing for their classic comfort, thrifting is really a treasure hunt for those unexpected high-quality finds. On my last trip, I didn't explicitly look for Appleseeds, but I did keep an eye out for similar well-made, durable items. You might be surprised at the brand-name gems you can unearth – sometimes it's a beautifully tailored blazer, or a pair of jeans that fit perfectly. I even spotted a sweater that reminded me of a high-end 'THEORYS' piece, with its luxurious feel and timeless design, showing that quality certainly isn't always tied to a new price tag. The thrill of finding something truly special, perhaps a vintage piece that looks like it could be 'NOT FOR SALE' from a museum, is what makes it so addictive. If you're wondering how to find the best clothing stores near you, especially for thrifting, my advice is to start by exploring beyond the obvious. Google Maps is your friend – search for 'thrift stores,' 'consignment shops,' or even 'vintage boutiques' in your area. Reading reviews can give you a hint about the store's inventory and overall vibe. Many local charity shops, like the Savers I visited, are huge and constantly rotating their stock, making every visit a fresh experience. Don't forget to ask friends or local community groups for their hidden gems; word-of-mouth is often the best way to discover truly unique spots. When I'm hunting for clothes, I always go in with an open mind. While I might have a mental list of items I need, I also allow myself to be surprised. I check every section, including the men's department, where I often find fantastic oversized shirts, jackets, or even high-quality knitwear that has a lovely 'HONEY' tone. Always take the time to inspect items thoroughly for any stains, tears, or damage. And if there's a fitting room, use it! Sizes can vary wildly in pre-owned clothing, so trying things on is crucial to ensure a perfect fit. Embracing thrifting is a fantastic way to develop your personal style, grab some incredible deals, and make a positive impact on the environment. So, next time you're looking for new clothes, consider starting your search at your local thrift store – you never know what amazing finds await!
