Capcut is back

OMG, you guys, CapCut is back and better than ever! I was so excited to dive into some new video edits, and I know many of you are looking for a quick guide on how to get started, especially when you see that iconic CapCut logo with its little yellow sparkle on your screen. Don't worry, it's super straightforward to kick off a new project on your mobile phone! First things first, open up your CapCut app. You'll usually land on the main screen, which might look a little different depending on updates, but there’s always a big, unmissable button to 'New Project.' It's usually a plus sign within a square or a prominent button. This is your gateway to creating amazing content! Once you tap 'New Project,' you'll be taken to your device's media gallery. This is where the magic really begins! I always find it handy to have my clips ready to go. You'll notice options at the top or bottom of the screen, sometimes showing you different camera mode options like 'video,' 'photo,' 'time-lapse,' 'slo-mo,' or even 'portrait' if you're pulling directly from your camera roll. The OCR text mentioned these, and it's a great reminder of how versatile CapCut is for selecting different types of media. Now, pick the videos and photos you want to include in your project. You can tap on multiple items, and CapCut will show a little number indicating the order they'll appear in your timeline. Don't stress too much about the order though; you can always rearrange them later. Once you've selected everything, hit the 'Add' button, usually at the bottom right. Voila! You're now in the CapCut editing interface with your chosen media. This is where you can trim, add music, effects, text, and so much more. I personally love how intuitive it is, especially for quick edits on my smartphone. Remember that '1x' indicator or 'record button' you might see? Those are usually for direct recording within the app, which is super convenient if you want to capture something on the fly and immediately start editing. My personal tip: when starting a new project, always try to organize your media beforehand. It saves so much time! And don't be afraid to experiment with all the tools CapCut offers.
