This struggle between seeking applause from others versus serving God sincerely is a powerful spiritual test. For example, Colossians 3:23 reminds us, "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters," emphasizing that the authenticity of our motives carries eternal significance. God's scrutiny extends to the private decisions many of us make daily — those moments when no one else is watching. Whether it's deciding to delete a questionable message, rejecting temptation, or avoiding harmful conversations, these hidden choices cultivate holiness.
