yesterday i met a founder of a space start up and omg he is so cool for real lehhh but i do feel like young people YOU yes YOU HAVE SO MUCH POTENTIAL 😚👀 YALL
i personally feel that the most valuable asset young people have is IDEALISM
- we have experienced a bit of society to understand how it works but NOT enough to have been told what is possible and what isnt possible
- that means we are often more creative ?? remember all the silly things we said when we were young ? creating an umbrella with an aircon, flying cars 🚗, ability to become invisible or breathe underwater
- WE (used to) DARE TO DREAM!! but ngl sgreans are so pragmatic..
i feel like people around me have good ideas but… are just too afraid to take action??? like some people would say “well in the future… ill…” or things like “when i have the money…”
but the best time to do it is NOW when u have nothing to lose
dont let fear hold u back!!
also i feel like people who achieve great things are usually the youths who dropout of schools…. think of all the inventors HAHAHA and ngl ifl what we lack is the courage to take action! we r too scared to fail but isnt it scarier to have never tried at all ??
... Read moreFrom my own experience, I’ve realized that idealism truly is a hidden powerhouse for youth. When I was younger, I often had bold, creative ideas that others labeled as unrealistic or far-fetched. Yet, those initial sparks pushed me to explore new pathways and attempt things that seemed impossible at first. Much like the example shared with the space startup founder — who embodies daring creativity — it’s the fearless mindset of youth to dream big that's essential.
It’s normal to face hesitation or pragmatic doubts, especially as we grow older and become more aware of societal limits. However, clinging too tightly to caution can snuff out that creative flame. I personally noticed that waiting for the 'perfect moment' often led to missed opportunities. That’s why acting when you have “nothing to lose” is powerful; it allows you to channel your idealism into real-world experiments.
Moreover, the fear of failure is a big barrier. But remember, every successful innovator or entrepreneur has faced setbacks. Dropping out of conventional paths, like some famous inventors and founders, often happens because they prioritize courage and action over fitting into predefined molds. Embracing failure as a learning tool rather than a defeat helps maintain that youthful boldness.
In practical terms, try to nurture your creative fantasies without dismissing them. Allow yourself to imagine the impossible—whether it’s flying cars or everyday gadgets with innovative twists. More importantly, translate those dreams into small, tangible steps. Start a project, share your ideas, seek feedback, and keep experimenting.
In summary, your greatest asset truly is the idealism that fuels your creativity and drives you to act despite uncertainties. Harness that energy today, because it’s the key to unlocking your full potential and possibly contributing something extraordinary to the world.
