After weeks of meetings, comparisons, and lots of back-and-forth, I finally found the one! I met a total of 9 IDs, some were friendly but overpriced, some couldn’t understand my vision at all, and a few even ghosted me after promising follow-ups 😮💨
📌 In the end, I decided to go ahead with 1 of the ID , paid the deposit, and now excitedly waiting to see the 3D designs!

Since this was my first big renovation, I focused on interior elements like wood design, which can truly define the home’s warmth and character. If you’re engaging a carpentry company, it’s wise to clarify upfront if their focus is interiors or something else, so expectations align. Finally, don’t overlook the vibe and rapport with your chosen designer. Having a friendly, polite, and responsive ID made the whole process smoother and less stressful for me. I advise anyone embarking on this journey to meet multiple designers, compare not just portfolios but work ethic and communication style. Stay patient and trust your instincts—your ideal interior designer is out there, as I found with ID #7, who combined experience, understanding, and professionalism.
