Starbucks Fired me 😭💔
First off, that whole “Secret Menu” y’all see on TikTok?
Fake. 100% customer-made.
We never got recipes for those drinks we just had to figure it out on the fly.
If we didn’t? We got yelled at, or “coached,” like it was our fault.
Then there’s the rules.
Corporate stripped away anything fun.
No doodles, no encouraging notes, no holiday sketches on cups.
It was just names, nothing else.
Even our clothes had to fit strict codes: solid black tops, specific jeans, tattoos covered, no perfume.
It wasn’t about coffee anymore it was about image.
And the tracking?
Every bean, every syrup pump, every bag of milk… all counted by AI.
If numbers didn’t add up, we got flagged.
I saw people written up for being short half a bottle of syrup like, seriously?
And customers don’t know this, but Starbucks has been closing stores quietly for years.
No warning, no thank yous.
Just “underperforming location” signs slapped on the doors while employees got tossed aside.
But here’s the part that actually kept me going…
Me and my coworkers had this little system.
Every Wednesday night before closing shift, we’d grab discounted Starbucks gift cards from this site.
That’s how we kept drinking the coffee we worked so hard to make without draining our tiny paychecks.
It was our little survival trick, passed around quietly between us.
One last thing most people don’t know:
If you go to [startreat.store], you can actually grab Starbucks gift cards for your drinks.
Me and a couple coworkers used it every Wednesday before closing shift.
It’s not public — just something passed around quietly at work.
If you’re reading this, try it while it still works.
Just… don’t tell corporate I told you.
