Ingredients:

1 teaspoon cream of tartar

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup unsalted butter

1 cup white sugar

1/2 cup light brown sugar

2 large eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1/4 cup white sugar (for cinnamon sugar mixture)

2 teaspoons cinnamon (for cinnamon sugar mixture)

1 cup unsalted butter (for buttercream)

1/2 cup cream cheese (for buttercream)

Pinch of salt (for buttercream)

4 cups powdered sugar (for buttercream)

1/4 cup brown sugar (for buttercream)

1 teaspoon cinnamon (for buttercream)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for buttercream)

Serves: 16

Instructions:

Whisk together all-purpose flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt.

Beat unsalted butter, white sugar, and light brown sugar until light and fluffy.

Add eggs and vanilla extract, beat until light and fluffy.

Combine dry ingredients with wet ingredients to form cookie dough.

Chill cookie dough in the fridge.

Make cinnamon sugar mixture by mixing white sugar and cinnamon.

Prepare buttercream by beating unsalted butter, cream cheese, salt, powdered sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla extract.

Scoop cookie dough onto baking sheet, roll into smooth balls.

Coat cookie dough balls in cinnamon sugar mixture.

Bake at 375°F for 8-10 minutes.

Frost cookies with buttercream.

Sprinkle remaining cinnamon sugar mixture on top of cookies.
